Rates below are general guidelines. Always follow your specific product label — rates vary by brand and application site.
Soil drench — trees & shrubs
Dominion 2L: 0.1–0.2 fl oz / inch trunk diameter in 1 gal water
Apply to root zone as a drench. Translocates through the plant within 1–4 weeks. Provides 12-month residual. Do NOT apply to trees in bloom.
Lawn grub prevention (granular)
Consumer products: per label
Apply June–July, water in immediately. Professional Dominion 2L at 0.9 fl oz / 1,000 sq ft is significantly more economical than consumer granulars at equivalent rates.
Aphid/whitefly drench on containerized plants
0.05 fl oz / gal of potting mix volume
Water in thoroughly. Provides systemic protection for 8–12 weeks. Do not use on plants with open flowers accessible to pollinators.

- Highly toxic to bees — systemic uptake means pollen and nectar of treated plants can contain imidacloprid
- Never apply to plants in bloom or where pollinators are actively foraging
- May leach in sandy soils — avoid applications near waterways
- Neonicotinoid resistance is widespread in some aphid and whitefly populations
- Do not apply Premise termiticide products for other uses — different label requirements
