π Step-by-Step Instructions
1
Read the label completely
The label is a federal legal document. Read it before measuring any product. Different target pests and application sites have different dilution rates β using the wrong rate is illegal.
2
Wear PPE
Put on chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection before handling concentrate. Long sleeves and long pants recommended.
3
Measure correctly
Standard indoor residual rate: 0.06% active ingredient = approximately 0.33 fl oz (2 teaspoons) of 7.9% bifenthrin concentrate per gallon of water. Always use the lower end of the label range for indoor applications.
4
Fill sprayer with WATER first
Add water to the sprayer first, then measure and add the concentrate. Adding concentrate to an empty sprayer and then water causes foaming.
5
Apply at the right locations
Indoor: along baseboards, around plumbing penetrations, in cracks and crevices β never broadcast spray floors or food contact surfaces. Outdoor perimeter: spray 2-3 feet up the wall and 2-3 feet out from the foundation.
6
Keep pets and children off treated areas until dry
Application dries in 30-90 minutes depending on temperature and humidity. Don't allow re-entry until fully dry.
π‘ Pro Tips
- Fresh mix is most effective β use mixed solution within 24 hours
- Note the time and location of every application for your records
- Higher concentrations don't kill more pests β they just waste product and increase unnecessary exposure
β οΈ Safety Warnings
- Never apply bifenthrin on food contact surfaces, inside cabinets where food is stored, or near aquatic areas
- Keep concentrate locked up and away from children
- Bifenthrin is HIGHLY TOXIC to aquatic invertebrates β never apply near ponds, streams, or storm drains
